Meet Your Trainer
David Comas | Founder & Head Trainer
I spent 12 years in the Marine Corps, where everything came down to structure, clear communication, and staying calm when things get chaotic. When I got into dog training, I found dogs need the exact same thing: clarity, consistency, and a handler who knows how to lead without losing their cool.
My background centers on high-drive working dogs and competitive dog sports. When you train and handle Belgian Malinois, you learn very quickly that you cannot fake reliability. Shortcuts do not work. You need a system that builds genuine motivation first, sets fair boundaries, and proofs behaviors in the real world, not just inside an empty training room.
I train across the full spectrum, from high-energy working breeds to family pets that pull on the leash, jump on guests, or react to other dogs. My job is not just to hand you back an obedient dog. It is to teach you the mechanics, timing, and mindset so you feel completely confident handling your dog wherever you go.
The K.I.N.E.C.T.E.D. K-9 Core Principles
K — Knowledge: Understand what your dog is communicating.
I — Impulse Control: Teach your dog to think before reacting.
N — Neutrality: Cultivate calm focus around daily distractions.
E — Engagement: Build drive and a genuine desire to work with you.
C — Communication: Establish clear, consistent expectations.
T — Trust: Deepen confidence between dog and handler.
E — Education: Coach the human handler just as much as the dog.
D — Dependability: Real-world behavior you can rely on anywhere.
Our Training Philosophy
Motivation & Engagement
We build focus and clarity first using reward-based marker systems. Dogs learn how to learn without pressure, creating an eager partner that genuinely wants to work with you.
Clear Boundaries & Reliability
Real-world obedience requires two-way clarity. Once a behavior is taught with rewards, we introduce fair, consistent boundaries. Dogs learn that commands are not optional, creating true reliability around heavy real-world distractions.
Handler Coaching
Training does not end when the session is over. We teach you the mechanics, timing, and leash handling so you have the skills and confidence to lead your dog seamlessly at home and in public.
